Sustainable Development Policy Statement

The Company's management philosophy is to be sincere, visionary and responsible. As one of the top 100 companies in Taiwan, we are committed to fulfilling our corporate social responsibility from these three perspectives, and strive for sustainable development in the pursuit of corporate growth, public welfare, and environmental and ecological balance. The Company and its subsidiaries are committed to promoting Sustainable Development (SD) and establishing a way to fulfill corporate responsibility and regularly reviewing its effectiveness in order to fully carry through the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) Code of Conduct.

I. RBA Responsible Business Alliance Code of Conduct

The Company pledges to follow the RBA code: Respect the human rights of laborers, and the laborers referred to in this commitment include all regular workers, short-term workers, temporary workers, interns and any other types of laborers. We will ensure that the following standards are met: Free choice of employment by laborers, no child labor, protection of the rights and health of female workers, no discrimination against laborers, no inhumane treatment, while wages, benefits and working hours in accordance with local laws and regulations, and freedom to form an association for laborers.

Provide a healthy and safe work environment for laborers, including ensuring occupational safety, providing emergency preparedness plans, managing occupational injuries and illnesses, controlling sources of hazards, assessing and controlling the impact of work with special physical requirements on laborers, conducting hazard assessments of machinery, maintaining public health, and providing clean canteen and dormitories.

Take environmental responsibility to minimize adverse impacts on society, the environment and natural resources during the manufacturing process while protecting the health and safety of the public. We also ensure compliance with the following standards: Obtaining the necessary environmental permits and reports, preventing pollution and conserving resources, controlling the handling procedures for chemical and hazardous substances, controlling the handling procedures for wastewater and solid waste, controlling the handling procedures for air emission, and complying with the relevant legal requirements for product content control.

Comply with the highest standards of ethical requirements, including operating with integrity, making no improper gains, disclosing information about business and financial conditions in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, complying with anti-corruption laws (such as the FCPA) in the course of transactions, respecting intellectual property rights, enforcing fair trade advertising and competition standards, providing anonymous complaint procedures to protect the confidentiality of whistleblowers, acting responsibly in the procurement of minerals, protecting the personal data of all business partners and complying with privacy and information security regulations, and establishing protection procedures to prevent retaliation.

Establish a management system that includes a commitment to a social and environmental responsibility policy, identify management responsibilities and conduct regular inspections, monitor and understand applicable laws and regulations and customer requirements, establish risk assessment and risk management processes, set improvement goals and conduct regular evaluations, establish training programs, and establish communication procedures with laborers.

II. Requirements for suppliers

In addition to committing to self-regulation with the strictest standards, the Company also promotes compliance with social responsibility by all suppliers. We set up social responsibility management procedures for suppliers based on the standards or contents of RBA, laws and regulations, and customer requirements, etc. We also have various channels to communicate social responsibility policies and regulations to our suppliers and conduct social responsibility compliance audits on new suppliers and major suppliers in terms of labor, human rights, ethics, and the environment to promote compliance with social responsibility requirements by all suppliers.

The Company’s SD promotion unit

The Company's sustainable development committee promotion center and volunteer team currently total 20 members are responsible for preparing annual SD implementation plans, conducting regular audits and promoting social responsibility operations, preparing SD reports, etc., and reporting the status to the Board of Directors on a regular basis.

Announcement of employee integrity and compliance with SD

In order to carry through the Company's sincere management philosophy, implement the Company's integrity management culture, maintain the Company's upright external image, and create an honest and upright trading environment, we would like to ask all employees to follow the rules and regulations of the Company's Integrity and self-discipline convention, and not to ask for or accept cash, securities, gifts, travel assistance, hospitality or other transfers of benefits from third party suppliers, to follow the Company’s SD related rules and regulations and prohibit all acts that violate the Company’s SD, so as to ensure that our employees can conduct all business activities with honesty and integrity. We sincerely ask our colleagues to support and cooperate with the above policy of Shinfox Energy in order to maintain and promote the development of closer cooperation with customers.

If any of the Company’s employees violate the above-mentioned regulations and request, offer, solicit or accept any form of gift or improper benefit from third parties or violate our SD regulations. If such violations are proven to be true, the Company will punish the employee in accordance with the relevant regulations. If the Company suffers any damage as a result, the Company will pursue legal action against the employee.
